Connect with your school community via Parents and Friends! We are a friendly group of parents who meet informally to create events, nurture parent groups and provide support to Westgarth Primary and its community.
We aim to facilitate parent / community involvement and connection in whatever way suits different needs, interests and availability.
If you would like to join, need more information or want support with a new idea, please contact us on email@example.com or the school office on firstname.lastname@example.org. Follow some of our action on Twitter @WestgarthPandF
The formal stuff
The Westgarth Parents and Friends (P&F), is a subcommittee of School Council that exists to support our school and build our community. It has been created in accordance with the Education and Training Reform Regulations 2007 after consultation with the Principal.
Throughout the year, Parents and Friends hosts and organises a range of social and fundraising events such as the Welcome Picnic, Trivia Night and movie nights. These are advertised on the school newsletter, Compass and the website.
The Westgarth Whopping Great Fete is a mammoth undertaking that requires its own committee! A range of subgroups look after different aspects, so there is always a way to get involved. Join the Jammy Ladies and Chutney Chaps, the Gardening Team and more. Contact email@example.com and check out the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/WGFete/
Westgarth Idol is a parents-only fun-raising night that has to be experienced before it can be adequately described! Incredible music, lots of dancing and hours of fun choosing costumes…oh and it raises some money too.
The Westgarth Super Science Club was formed by a group of parents to encourage a love of science. The initial Launch was held on 16 September 2015 with an astonishing array of hands-on activities and displays. An Astronomy Night and a Science and Technology Night was also a huge success.
