Parents/Carers are to register child/ren using our service at the Family Assistance Office (FAO). CCS is a new subsidy paid to families who are Australian Residents or hold a temporary visa and meet the immunisation requirements.
You may be eligible for CCS if you or your partner:
  • care for your child at least 2 nights per fortnight, or have 14% care
  • are liable for fees for care provided at an approved child care service, and
  • meet the residency requirements
Your child must also:
  • meet immunisation requirements, and
  • be 13 or under and not attending secondary school

How much you can get

The amount your child care fees will be subsidised depends on your circumstances.
To work out how much CCS you’re eligible for, the Family Assistance Office will look at:
  • your family’s income
  • the hourly rate cap of the type of approved child care you use, and
  • the hours of activity you and your partner do
